Underground Utilities Project Manager
Don oversees all underground utility projects. He began his career in oil & gas production where he developed a comprehensive understanding of operational processes and resource management. His financial acumen enables him to effectively hold to budgets. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Tommy Rabeaux
Civil Operations Manager
Tommy Rabeaux oversees the civil construction division. He began his career in finance and eventually transitioned into operations in the civil sitework industry. This combination of analytical sense along with operational leadership allows him to manage complex projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Mechanical Piping Supervisor
Allen began his construction career in 1980 specializing in mechanical piping. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a wide range of complex projects, demonstrating his deep knowledge of mechanical systems and his ability to creatively work through problems. Allen’s long-standing career reflects his passion for craftsmanship and his unwavering commitment to excellence, making him a valued resource to the industry.

Mitzael Castrejon
Underground Utilities Superintendent
Mitzael Castrejon oversees field operations for the underground utilities division. He began his career in 2003 and has extensive hands-on experience and technical knowledge. His resourcefulness and work ethic helps the company push through the most difficult projects making him a trusted resource in the industry.

Bruce Ortego
Civil Field Operations Supervisor
Bruce oversees all on-site activities for the civil division, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Since launching his career in 1999, Bruce has built a reputation for his exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and ability to manage complex projects. Bruce’s extensive experience encompasses all aspects of field operations, including resource coordination, team supervision, and adherence to project timelines. His dedication to safety and compliance ensures that every project meets industry safety standards along with governmental regulations.

Mark-Allen cofounded Preferred Group and oversees all business development and finance related activities. His focus is on finding and executing on all growth-related aspects of Preferred. His career began in the oil and gas service industry in 2009 holding business development and finance related positions. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Jacob Casey
Iron Works – Operations Manager
Jacob Casey oversees all fabrication and steel erection projects. He began his career in commercial steel erection which later grew into fabrication for the oil and gas industry. His practices hold to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Jacob developed a strong foundation in structural integrity, precision, and safety standards. As his expertise expanded into oil and gas fabrication, he honed his skills in handling complex projects that demand rigorous attention to detail and quality.

Jacob cofounded Preferred Group and oversees all operations related activities of the group. Jacob started his career in 1999 and holds multiple licenses, including Master Plumber, Gas Fitter, Mechanical, Municipal/Public Works, Highway, Street and Bridge, and Building Construction. Jacob’s qualifications highlight his versatility and deep understanding of diverse construction disciplines.

Daniel Waldron
Accounting
Daniel oversees all accounting related activities of the group. Daniel began his career in public accounting with a focus on audit, compliance, and financial analysis. Most recently he worked in the private sector in the fabrication and construction industry. Daniel’s proficiency in budgeting and cost management, combined with his analytical mindset, allows him to provide strategic financial insights that drive profitability. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Gabe Padgett
Mechanical Project Manager
Gabe oversees all Mechanical related projects at the company. He began his career in Natural Gas Pipeline Construction, gaining hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing of large-scale infrastructure projects. Over time, he expanded his expertise to the Petrochemical and Chemical Manufacturing industries, where he honed his skills in process optimization, equipment design, and operational efficiency. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
